Literature Committee Meeting Minutes, April 19, 2015

1. UA Website

• Proposed text for a “You are leaving the UA website” message: “You are now leaving the Underearners Anonymous website, and entering a website that is not under our control; we are not responsible for the content, links, privacy policy, or security policy of this website. If the link is broken, or if you feel that the linked website is not consistent with the principles of UA, please let us know!”

2. Existing Literature

• The revised text of the following documents, as approved previously by the literature committee, will be submitted to the GSB for review and approval to replace the texts on the website:
  • Visions, Goals & Actions Worksheet
  • Action Meeting Format 1: Developing a Prosperity Vision and Initial Actions
  • Action Meeting Format 2: Addressing Specific Earning Concerns and Generating Action Steps

• Vision of Earning Wellness and Wholeness
  • Items 3 & 5 will be concatenated, to facilitate the insertion of an item before #2, reflecting the concept “God is our employer”
  • Shari Lynn and Joshua will research and suggest suitable wording for this addition

• Underearning and Our Thinking
  • The concept that the future will be the same as the past was added to the “stinking thinking” section.

3. New Literature

• Sponsorship Pamphlet
  • The committee consensus was the draft outline submitted by the NY Intergroup is a well thought out approach, and a sound basis for the Sponsorship pamphlet, with just a few changes suggested:
    • 2(A): place more emphasis on becoming a sponsor, and please break out sponsee and sponsor into separate subsections (reflecting that the roles come at different times in our recoveries)
    • 2(B): add a subsection on the benefits of becoming a sponsor
    • 3(D): generalize this section to “If we’ve worked the steps before, why would we need to do that again?” (partly because we feel that this broader concept should be addressed, and partly because “Other programs” are an outside issue)
  • Shari Lynn volunteered to assist the NY Intergroup working group in writing the pamphlet

• We will review the ProsperiTeam materials for discussion at the next meeting.

4. Next Meeting

• The next meeting will be on the third Sunday on the month, May 18, 7:00-8:00pm Eastern (6:00pm Central, 4:00pm Pacific), on the conference line (712) 432-1500 # 706291.
