Committee Reports
World Service Conference Prep Committee (Char).
Venue update
Mary & Joseph Retreat Center, Palos Verdes

A member of the committee requested that the committee make the decision on the venues. Chair responded that this is a working service committee which reports directly to the GSB. Chair and Vice-chair were given the authority by the Board to make the decision on the choice of venues.
Service Structure Committee Report (Debora)
Clara drafted the vision and mission statements for the SSC Committee and the committee members made some suggested revisions to it.
We will be addressing again the draft vision and mission statements at the next SSC meeting, which will be on the 4th Sunday of February. The only time the SSC meeting will be on the First Sunday of the month is when the GSB meeting is not following the SSC meeting. If anyone wants more information on the SSC meeting they can contact Clara or Debora (323-371-1039).
Clara has been approved as Trustee by the Board.
Literature Committee Report
Per Mark – this committee is still working on the sponsorship pamphlet.
We need a liaison for this committee.

Finance Committee Report (Given by Debora who read the report emailed to her by Lela)
The Treasurer looked at the DA website for the Treasury Manual for individual groups; she thought it was an ideal example; she will investigate how to revise it for UA; it’s a working structure until UA creates its own; can bring to WSC to discuss it.
- Can agree to have unofficial working piece of literature; consider significance; SSC
can prioritize so as to have manual in use prior to ratification at WSC 2018.

Tech Committee Report (Debora)
- I emailed Mary Joan on December 11th about whether she is accepting new committee members to the Tech Committee and what are the requirements. She has still has not responded back.
- There is a technical glitch that will sometimes occur with the UA Calendar so a meeting is randomly deleted occasionally. If your meeting is deleted from the UA meeting calendar, contact the Calendar Keeper. The Calendar Keeper’s email address is: ua12step@nullgmail.com.
- If people find that they cannot unmute themselves, hang up and call back in.

Election of Secretary

Motion Recommending Guidelines for the World Service Conference Prep Committee
There was a motion made by Arden to extend our meeting by 20 minutes so we could discuss and vote on this Motion Recommending Guidelines for the World Service Conference Prep Committee. This motion did not pass (5 Yay; 7 Nay; 1 Abstention)
We ended with the Serenity Prayer.
