Statement For Meetings

  • The following statement will be inserted on the meeting lists: “UA NY Intergroup serves Tri-State area meetings, including organizing area events, helping set up new groups, and distributing meeting lists. All tri-State area meetings are encouraged to send Intergroup Representatives to our meetings, which are held 1:00-2:30pm on the second Saturday of every month, upstairs at Zaro’s, Broadway & 21st Street, Manhattan. Individuals and groups should send contributions to UA NY Intergroup, P.O. Box 1287, New York, New York, 10276.”

ISR Deposit for WSC

  • Lisa will send a check to the WSCC for $70 to cover the remainder of the registration fee.
  • Sam has a balance of $109 to be applied to incidentals including transfers.

August Share-A-Day

  • Keynote speakers were selected: Laura (alternate Peggy), and Frank (alternates Matt & Mike).
  • A suitable registration system has not been found, so there will be no advance registration this time.
  • Anna will research speaker systems; the entertainment committee was authorized to spend up to $150.
  • A tip of $50 will be given to the porter.
  • Five $10 scholarships will be offered on a first come, first served basis; application for scholarships must be made prior to the event—none will be handed out on the day. If there is a demand for more, the committee will consider increasing this amount by email.
  • Flyers were distributed to the ISRs present to hand out at meetings.

Web Site

  • Wayne will be reimbursed $15 for registering the domain name ua-nyc.org (the registration will need to be renewed in a year’s time).
  • Peter will provide a simple landing page for this domain with information about the Share-a-Day.

Meeting Lists

  • Peter will continue to print 200 meeting lists every other month, and distribute them to ISRs at Intergroup meetings, and ad hoc at regular meetings.

October Share-A-Day

  • The Share-A-Day committee will identify alternate venues and costs prior to the next Intergroup meeting.

November Retreat

  • The Retreat Committee consists of Mike M & Dion—both are wiling to organize a low-key event similar to last year’s. Mike will also contact some of the regional ISRs to see if they are interested in helping.

Next Meeting

  • The next meeting will be the second Saturday in August, August 10, upstairs at Zaro’s, Broadway and 21st Street.
  • The following topics were not addressed at this meeting, and will be carried over to the agenda for the next meeting:
